Since 2008 the Low Carbon Architecture competition organised by EDF has acted as a laboratory of ideas highlighting housing projects, offices and equipment that are both innovative and exemplary in terms of saving energy whilst maintaining high architectural quality. The competition promotes bioclimatic architecture with the introduction of innovative technical solutions. This book summarises the five sessions of the 2012 competition and paves the way for a new architecture capable of combining aesthetic performance and quality of use.
